Welcome to Dunnellon's Historic Village
Take a step back in time and stroll the oak lined streets in Dunnellon's nationally registered district enjoying the many quaint shops and restaurants it has to offer. Many of these shops are located in restored nineteenth century
homes and the shop hospitality is as welcoming as the town itself.
Dunnellon was founded in 1889 with the discovery of phosphate in the area. The booming town soon developed a rail road, school, post office and electric lights. Each year the Dunnellon Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the towns celebration of its early beginnings with Boomtown Days.
Whether you are looking for a day of leisurely shopping or are looking for that something special, the Historic Village Shops of Dunnellon are sure to make you want to come back for more. There is always a new experience to have with its many events and places to explore. One thing is for sure..you will leave with a warm feeling of nostalgia and imagining the days of the past.
